Gardai in Cork have arrested a man aged in his 70s following a stabbing incident in Blackpool.
It is understood the arrest comes after a man sustained stab wounds following an incident which occurred at approximately 4pm on Monday afternoon.
Gardai say the injured man was taken to Cork University Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
They added that a man aged in his 70s was arrested and taken to Mayfield Garda Station.
