Acting Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ronan Glynn won’t confirm that pubs can open on August 10.
According to Mr. Glynn, it’s ‘too early to say‘ whether or not pubs can welcome punters again on that date, and that a decision won’t be taken ‘for another two weeks.’
Pubs were originally scheduled to reopen last Monday, but a surge in Covid-19 cases prevented this.
