Britain’s upcoming easing of lockdown restrictions next week might not go ahead due to rising concerns about the Indian coronavirus strain.
The British scientific community has sounded the alarm about the variant, which is thought to be behind the catastrophic rise in cases in India.
It is understood that no fewer than 800 new cases of this variant have been confirmed in the last 24h.
