Germany is today reporting the highest increase in daily infection numbers since late January.
Official figures say that there have been 17,504 new cases confirmed over the past 24h. This is the highest daily increase since January 22.
The country is currently in the grip of a third wave of the virus, and the Government’s target is to have everyone vaccinated by September 21st.
