The scientific community is today sounding the alarm as the coronavirus variant first detected in India has now been confirmed in 44 countries.
It is understood that ‘local restrictions’ might be re-imposed across ‘Covid hotspots’, according to the British Government.
The variant is thought to be behind the catastrophic situation currently being experienced across India.
