Covid-19: Anger in Wales as supermarkets cordon off ‘non-essential’ items

There’s widespread anger in Wales today, as many supermarkets have cordoned off what they deem to be ‘non-essential’ items, while things like alcohol can still be purchased.

Items like kettles, bedclothes, and baby clothes are off-limits, but vodka can be bought with no problems, for example.

Wales recently declared a ‘firebreak’ lockdown in a last-ditch attempt to curb the relentless spread of Covid-19.
