The use of an anti-viral pill to treat coronavirus disease has been approved in the UK.
The drug, Molnupiravir, will be given to people who test positive for Covid-19 and have at least one risk factor, including obesity, heart conditions, or other serious comorbidities.
Molnupiravir is made by drug giant Merck.
