Australia has reiterated its intention to keep the country’s borders closed until mid-2022 at least.
The country closed its borders to non-nationals in March 2020.
Australia’s strict border closures and fast lockdowns have meant that Covid-19 has had a very minor impact when compared with Ireland, for example, where thousands upon thousands of travelers were allowed in and out unimpeded throughout the pandemic.
