Brazil has reported a massive 100,000 new coronavirus infections in a 24h period.
The country has been ravaged by the pandemic, and the death toll of about 300,000 so far has been exacerbated by the complete ineptitude of Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro and his team.
Conservative estimates put the number of infections in the country at around 12.3m.
Brazil is the second-hardest hit country in the world after the United States, whose former (and now utterly disgraced) President Donald Trump also displayed a striking ineptitude towards the handling of the pandemic and generally everything else.
