The British Prime Minister has said that things ‘are looking good’ to lift lockdown restrictions for good on July 19.
The UK was originally scheduled to come out of lockdown today, but a rapid increase in coronavirus cases -driven by the Delta (Indian) variant- forced the Government to push the date back to July 19.
Boris Johnson added the caveat that further lockdowns might be necessary for winter, depending on the virus’ course.
