The coronavirus-related death toll is likely to increase significantly in Ireland over the coming weeks, according to the country’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tony Holohan.
The grim warning comes after daily new cases surpassed 5,000 and 6,000 in recent times, with hospitalizations also rising significantly.
According to Dr. Holohan, the amount of infection across the country is ‘enormous.’
