Covid-19 disaster: HSE boss warns that Ireland’s daily new cases count is heading upwards of 6,000




The Health Service Executive (HSE)’s boss, Paul Reid, is warning that Ireland’s daily new coronavirus cases count is heading upwards of 6,000.

The country is currently in the grip of a third wave, with a Level 5 lockdown in place.

The Government has hinted however that more stringent measures might be on the way.
