The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has reaffirmed its support for the AstraZeneca vaccine by saying it’s ‘safe and effective,’ despite multiple reports of blood clots following its administration.
Many countries, including Ireland, recently suspended the use of this particular vaccine following increasing reports of people developing blood clots after taking the jab. At least one death was linked to the use of the vaccine.
Despite saying it’s safe, the EMA could not ‘definitively rule out’ a possible connection between the vaccine and the blood clots.
