Covid-19: Families who subjugated their freedom to a QR code facing travel misery this summer, as unboosted teenagers’s certs likely to expire before the summer season starts -the unvaccinated laugh

Families who subjugated their freedom to a QR code are facing travel misery this summer, as unboosted teenagers’ certs are likely to expire before the summer season starts.

The EU recently played a practical joke on the ‘fully’ vaccinated -people with two shots in them- by setting an expiration date to their much-coveted QR codes, dangling a new QR code in front of them before withdrawing it and saying that only the booster will set them free. Problem is, the booster rollout for teenagers is not in place yet, so these QR codes are likely to expire, grounding the whole family. Families can still travel, but face massive costs for test kits, plus the hassle of going through all this. And if anything goes wrong abroad, they may become stranded for weeks.

Meanwhile, the unvaccinated can sail through with a negative test while watching these poor families whose QR codes are out by a day or two scream at the check-in attendants before being swiftly turned away by security. Oh the hilarity of all this folly.
