France has reported 26,000 new coronavirus infections over the past 24 hours.
Health authorities also reported 244 new Covid-19-related deaths.
The French Government recently announced a gradual easing of the lockdown conditions over the next few weeks, even though the country is currently in the grip of a third wave of the virus.
