The Government has announced that live music will be allowed in pubs and restaurants soon, and also outdoor parties of up to 200 people.
The decision was only made after huge public backlash about a garden party attended by 50 ‘special guests’ in the Merrion Hotel in Dublin two weeks ago. At the time, the official guidance for the populace was that only six people could gather.
This latest u-turn is yet another example of a ‘rules for thee, but not for me’ sported by the Irish Government time and time again.
