Covid-19: Government hints that some lockdown restrictions might remain after October 22




Barely a day after reluctantly granting miserly increases in pension and welfare entitlements that only cause derision and solve nothing, the Irish Government is now saying that some lockdown restrictions might remain after October 22.

It now appears that the ‘successful’ vaccination program is not so in reality, as daily infection numbers have been creeping up in recent weeks.

The National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) is due to reconvene early next week to decide what to do after the rapidly worsening situation.
