Covid-19: Government says ‘there are no guarantees’ that international travel will resume on July 19

The Government is saying today that ‘there are no guarantees’ that international travel will resume on July 19.

According to Minister of State Ossian Smyth, the current plan is for non-essential travel to be allowed again from that date, but that this might change at any time.

The Government is reportedly concerned about the rapid spread of the Delta (Indian) variant across the UK and Ireland.
