Covid-19: Irish Government extends wage subsidy scheme for businesses affected by latest round of restrictions

The Irish Government has announced that it’s extending the wage subsidy scheme for businesses affected by the latest round of restrictions.

The scheme will now run again between December 1 and April next year. It might be cut or extended at that point.

Businesses across Ireland, particularly hospitality and nightlife, have been devastated due to the Government’s sheer incompetence and utterly idiotic and random Covid guidelines, including that people should dance from the moment they enter a nightclub until they leave to remain safe from the virus.
