Covid-19: Irish health authorities announce just under 4,650 new coronavirus infections over the past 24h

Irish health authorities have announced just under 4,650 new coronavirus infections over the past 24h.

Official figures say that there have been 4,642 new cases confirmed in that period of time.

There currently are 556 people with severe Covid-19-induced disease across Irish hospitals today. It is unclear how many out of those are fully vaccinated (minus the booster.)

Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tony Holohan was recently forced to admit that vaccines ‘aren’t performing,’ yet the Government is now pushing for a booster hoping that this will be the one that starts working. If this round does not work, they will presumably try another one, and another one after that, for good measure.
