Irish health authorities have confirmed just under 1,500 new coronavirus infections over the past 24h.
Official figures say that there have been 1,466 new cases confirmed in that period of time.
There are currently 402 people receiving treatment for serious coronavirus-induced disease across Irish hospitals today.
Authorities also warned that the positivity rate among the community here in Ireland is on the rise, laying waste to the Government’s official line that the vaccination program ‘is successful.’
