Irish health authorities have reported just over 17,000 new coronavirus cases over the past 24h.
Official figures say that there have been 17,065 new infections confirmed in that period of time.
There currently are 1,023 people with severe coronavirus-induced disease across Irish hospitals. It is unclear how many of these are ‘fully’ vaccinated.
