Irish health authorities have reported just over 23,200 new coronavirus cases over the last 24h, a record number.
Official figures say that there have been 23,281 new infections confirmed in that period of time.
There currently are 656 people with severe coronavirus-induced disease across Irish hospitals today. It’s unclear how many of those are ‘fully’ vaccinated.
