Irish health authorities have reported just over 8,000 new coronavirus cases over the last 24h.
Official figures say that there have been 8,039 new infections confirmed in that period of time.
There currently are 885 people with severe coronavirus-induced disease in hospital today. It’s unclear how many of those are ‘fully’ vaccinated.
