Irish health authorities have reported just over 8,400 new coronavirus cases over the past 24h.
Official figures say that there have been 8,453 new infections confirmed in that period of time.
There currently are 643 people with severe coronavirus-related illness across Irish hospitals today. It’s unclear how many of those are ‘fully’ vaccinated.
