Irish health authorities have reported just over 8,600 new coronavirus cases over the past 24h.
Official figures say that there have been 8,631 new infections confirmed in that period of time.
There currently are 692 people with severe coronavirus-induced disease across Irish hospitals today. It’s unclear how many of these are ‘fully’ vaccinated.
