Irish health authorities have reported just under 1,900 new coronavirus cases over the past 24h.
Official figures say that there have been 1,845 new infections confirmed in that period of time.
Health authorities have also announced that there are 500 people with severe coronavirus-induced disease across Irish hospitals today.
