Irish health authorities have reported just under 3,600 new coronavirus cases over the past 24h.
Official figures say that there have been 3,578 new infections confirmed in that period of time.
It is now likely that a new lockdown will be imposed in the very near future, yet another indictment of a wholly inept Government that insists on using vaccines that prevent neither infection nor transmission of the virus.
