Irish health authorities are reporting just under 4,200 new coronavirus cases over the past 24h, with almost 700 people in hospital.

But the vaccines ‘are preventing hospitalisations,’ according to Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tony Holohan. It also emerged recently that three quarters of people in hospital with severe Covid-19-induced disease were fully vaccinated.

It is clear that Mr. Holohan’s position is becoming increasingly untenable, especially since no one pays any attention to his advice anymore.
