Irish medical authorities have issued a warning today, as coronavirus cases are starting to rise again following the lifting of lockdown measures.

Other countries are experiencing a similar situation, with new outbreaks occurring shortly after restrictions are eased.

Experts now say that the R number in Ireland is now close to 1 again.

Six more people died from Covid-19-related causes in Ireland today, bringing the total death toll here to 1,743.
