Covid-19: Leo Varadkar casts doubt on pubs reopening at the end of August as he says ‘pubs are not as important as schools’

Former Taoiseach appointee Leo Varadkar has cast doubt about pubs reopening at the end of August as he says ‘pubs are not as important as schools.’

Pubs that do not serve food are currently scheduled to reopen on August 31, but this is dependent on the evolution of Covid-19’s cases in Ireland.

European health agencies are now urging Ireland to impose a full lockdown again due to the rapidly increasing number of Covid-19 cases across the country.
