Covid-19: Lockdowns in Ireland will end ‘by February 2022 at the latest’, according to the Government

Lockdowns in Ireland will end ‘by February 2022 at the latest’, according to the Government.

Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly ‘promised’ today that lockdowns across the country will definitely not extend beyond that date.

Mr. Donnelly’s comments were in response to outrage arising from the Government’s intention to introduce ‘rolling sunset clauses’ that would enable them to keep imposing lockdowns anytime they liked.

The Minister of Health now wants to extend the current lockdown until November, however.
