Members of the National Bus and Rail Union will not enforce face mask rules, according to union representatives.
Face masks on public transport became mandatory today. Those caught not wearing one might face a fine of up to €2,500 or a six-month prison sentence.
Unions say that it’s not the drivers’ job to enforce Government-issued guidelines.
