Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has said that he’s ‘ramping up’ intensive care units capacity across Ireland to deal with the upcoming surge in hospitalizations due to coronavirus.

Over 2,000 new cases have been reported over the last 48h alone, and all indicators show a rapid increase in new daily infections.

Mr. Donnelly added that ‘we don’t know how bad it’s going to get.’
