Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has said that there are ‘more than 10’ possible cases of the new Omicron variant in Ireland.
Government ministers will meet with the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) to discuss the ongoing coronavirus situation in the country.
It is understood that further restrictions are likely to be announced later today.
