Covid-19: Norway postpones end of lockdown for a second time amidst rising infections

Norway has postponed the end of lockdown for a second time amidst rising infections in the country.

Local authorities will make a ‘new assessment’ of the situation by mid-August.

Norway boasts one of the lowest Covid-related mortality rates in Europe due to a very early lockdown. Official figures say that just 800 people have died from Covid-19-related illness since the start of the pandemic in the country.
