The National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) is expected to dictate that over 90% of people over the age of 16 must be fully vaccinated before ‘significant’ restrictions are lifted.
It is understood that NPHET has written a letter to Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly laying down the law.
Government ministers will meet on Friday to discuss this, and other requirements.
