A doctor working on behalf of the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) has suggested that a new lockdown is ‘inevitable’, as coronavirus cases spiral out of control.
The comments come from Dr. Mary Favier, an advisor to the group.
According to Ms. Favier, strict measures might be needed unless the public ‘change their behavior.’
The fact that vaccines have not made any significant impact appears not to have been taken into account.
