
A spokesperson for the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) has said that people in Ireland will have to ‘limit’ contact with others ‘for a long time.’
Professor Philip Nolan spoke today on behalf of the NPHET, adding that ‘indicators for the virus’ prevalence are either stable or declining.’
A total of 1,639 people have died from Covid-19-related causes in Ireland so far.
