Over 4,000 people have now died ‘from’ or ‘with’ coronavirus in Northern Ireland since the start of the pandemic.
Official figures say that there have been 4,024 ‘Covid-linked’ deaths in the country.
In many cases, people who die from completely unrelated causes while infected with Covid-19 have the death attributed to the disease, so it’s quite possible that the actual death toll is far less than reported, not only in Northern Ireland, but worldwide.
