The Covid-19 pandemic is still ‘in its early stages,’ according to a top scientist.
Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota, made the claim in recent days. Mr. Osterholm’s words appear to suggest that humanity will be dealing with the disease for a very long time to come.
Globally, over 14m people have become infected with coronavirus so far.
