Pharma company Pfizer has claimed that its coronavirus vaccine is effective against both the UK and South African variants.
The claims were made in recent studies carried out by Pfizer and the University of Texas Medical Branch. These studies have not been peer-reviewed yet.
According to these studies, the vaccines would lose ‘a small amount of effectiveness’ against the mutant variants, but still be ‘effective enough.’
