Covid-19: Schools will open after Christmas as scheduled, no plans for delayed opening

Schools will open after Christmas as scheduled, as there are no plans for delayed opening, according to the Department of Education.

This is despite a significant increase of Covid-19 cases among schoolchildren in Ireland, following misguided Government advice that ‘schools are safe environments.’

Over the last two weeks alone, there have been 13,483 cases detected in children aged 5-12.
