Some 9,000 new coronavirus cases are expected to be confirmed in Ireland over the next few days, according to the National Public Emergency Team (NPHET).
According to Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Tony Holohan, the coronavirus situation is now completely out of control.
Ireland is now in the grip of full Level 5 lockdown, but even such measures might not be enough to curtail further spread of the virus.
