The Australian city of Sydney has entered a two-week lockdown from today, as the Delta coronavirus variant continues to takes hold around the world.
Health authorities in the city have confirmed that a cluster of infections involving this strain has grown to triple figures in a very short space of time.
It is understood that vaccination rates in Sydney remain low.
