Covid-19: Taoiseach claims to have ’empathy’ for the hospitality sector, even after a shambolic revision of the coronavirus guidelines that has sparked chaos, confusion, and anger across Ireland

The unelected Taoiseach appointee Micheal Martin is today claiming to have ’empathy’ for the hospitality sector, following an Irish Government-style shambolic revision of the coronavirus guidelines that has sparked chaos, confusion, and anger across Ireland.

Friday, October 22, had long been earmarked as the date to lift all remaining coronavirus restrictions, but with just four days to go, the Government has cobbled together a random list of guidelines without logic, merit, or sense. One such beauty implies that the virus will selectively bypass people who are dancing in a nightclub but will strike down those who sit at the bar just a few feet away, for example.

The Government has referred to these farcical decisions as ‘anomalies.’
