Met Eireann is today forecasting horrendous weather for the rest of the week, with heavy rain and the possibility of flooding lasting into the Bank Holiday weekend.
According to the national forecaster, there will be widespread outbreaks of rain from today onwards, mixed with some brief bright periods.
Daytime temperatures will reach a maximum of 13-14C, sinking back to 3-4C at nighttime.
