Taoiseach appointee Micheal Martin has today hinted that hotels, guesthouses, and Airbnb premises might reopen in June.
Mr. Martin also said that inter-county travel might also be allowed from the same month.
The coronavirus remains a threat however, as the number of daily infections remains in the hundreds.
