Tragically it’s been announced that there’s been an increase of some 60% in calls to Childline since schools closed just over two weeks ago.
It’s understood that children are ringing the service asking for help, food and even in some cases how to not contract coronavirus and pass it onto their parents.
The service says that it’s doing all it can to help, that they’re under pressure but will continue to do all they can to help young people at this time.
