Covid-19: There’s now a total of 13,446 confirmed cases of coronavirus on the island of Ireland

The HSE announced on Easter Monday evening that there was 548 new confirmed cases of coronavirus (with an additional 284 returning from Geramny) in the Republic of Ireland with another 41 people dying.

It brings the total in the Republic of Ireland to 11,479 with the government expecting a 30% increase daily from this week.

There’s 57% of men with coronavirus and 43% of women with the average age being 48.

Meanwhile in the north, there were 85 new confirmed cases today bringing the total in Northern Ireland to 1,967 with the total number of deaths there now standing at 134.

It means that as of Tuesday morning, there are now 13,446 confirmed cases across the island of Ireland.
